"Goals change decisions-no!" It has always been a motto of mine. Once you make the decision to set a specific goal, do not turn around. Not sure where it comes from, but I do not have it in me to turn around. Such behavior makes me really seriously looking at my monthly and annual goal setting.
My personal opinion is that it has one main goal of the competition or a year, and no more. Sure you have the May competition, which leads to the main show, but do not expect to be in peak form in both competitions. Having said that, when you become a champion you May be able to stagger the two shows really close together, but until they put on one.
Mentally, I believe you should only do one show a year. It is difficult to fully focus, gain size and eat very healthy all year. If you are a trophy hunter, to forget that the real bodybuilding champion.
Everyone is different when it comes to pre-competition training. Art is not a diet for a long time, lose muscle and fry your brain, or do the opposite crash diets and lose muscle tissue. I personally like about four and a half months to go for pre-contest prep. On a side note, I also never grew more than 20 pounds from my contest weight or
.Set a major goal of the competition for that year. Are off season training program and training program on the season. That goes for your eating too much.
Write all your goals too - on the season and beyond. This May Sound retention, but I also found thirty days goals that lead to seasonal targets. Do whatever it takes to stay focused on the main annual goal. It was time that I had to set a daily goal just to get through the day.
If you have training partners, to enable him / her to see them and take a copy of them, if need be. Give them permission to hold for them no matter what. But, do not show them to anyone else. This is just a promise between you and your training partner.
If you happen to not achieve the goal of a month, do not fret. If you have competed before you know more variables abound. Patience, faith, determination, consistency and long-term thinking makes a champion. If your goal is to set fear because you have a fear of commitment, to face the facts that you will continue to be mediocre.
the question is "How serious you ?"
